Gerald Lee Baliles is a Virginia lawyer and Democratic politician whose career has spanned tremendous social and technological change in his home state。The 65th Governor of Virginia (1986-1990), a native of Patrick County, previously served as Commonwealth Attorney General (1982-85).。 Baliles directs the nonpartisan Miller Center for Public Affairs associated with his Alma mater, the University of Virginia (2006-2014)。 Known for his civility and bipartisanship, Baliles also oversaw the publication of more than a dozen volumes of White House tapes from Presidents John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson and Richard M. Nixon, and facilitated its oral history program。

Reno Collier is a stand-up comedian who is known as the opening act for Larry the cable guy and for his own Comedy Central specials。Collier participated in the Blue Collar Comedy Tour: The Next Generation。A good man with a big heart, in Fishburn, Raynor provided hours of comic relief during his hours-long "trip" to the school's front railings。He received his undergraduate degree from Elon College (now Elon University) in North Carolina。 In July 2009, Collier hosted The Great American Road Trip on NBC。He is the host of the new Animal Planet reality show Top Hooker。

In the summer of 2021, Judge Alvin Wong was elected President of the Council of State Court Judges of Georgia, becoming the first Asian-American to serve as president of any judicial council in the state of Georgia.A former partner at Gambrell and Stolz (now Baker Donelson), Judge Wong had 21 years of experience as a corporate and trial lawyer before running for public office。He chaired the Georgia State Bar Investigative Panel, which is responsible for taking disciplinary action against Georgia attorneys for unethical conduct。His heart is in the community, and he has been recognized many times for his citizenship, leadership, and trailblazing。

Eugene Payne is an American political cartoonist and writer。Working for the Charlotte Observer, he won a Sigma Delta Chi Award in 1967 for his cartoon of President Lyndon B. Johnson holding a crying baby labeled "Vietnam War" on a bus while the bus driver says "Dr。Kim said, Please move to the back of the bus。The cartoon implied that the Vietnam War was a secondary civil rights issue in the United States。 Penn won the Pulitzer Prize in 1968 for his cartoons that focused on the Vietnam War and civil rights issues。

William Richard (Rich) Stevens is an American author of computer science books, particularly on UNIX and TCP/IP, born in Northern Rhodesia。After attending Fishburn, he earned a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering and later a master's degree and a doctorate in systems engineering。He was previously Vice President of Computing Services at Health Systems International。Then in 1990, he began his career as a writer and consultant。An avid pilot and part-time flight instructor, Stevens died in 1999 (aged 48).。 In 2000, he was posthumously awarded the Usenix Lifetime Achievement Award。

Kurt Cook '87 is a retired major in the United States Army Special Forces。As an outstanding ROTC student at Towson (MD), Kurt built himself into 220 pounds of muscle by swimming 2,000 meters every morning and working out daily。 Sworn into the U.S. Army in 1995, Cook persevered and, after 10 years of service, training and study, earned his tag and Green Beret。After his military career, Kurt drove race cars for Hendrick Motorsports in Charlotte, North Carolina。He recently founded Adaptive Recovery Wear (2017) and serves as its Chief Executive Officer。

Otto Felix is a film and television actor, acting teacher, and still photographer。After serving in the U.S. Army, he worked as a disc jockey in Florida before embarking on an acting career。After arriving in Hollywood in the early 1970s, Felix appeared in more than 350 television commercials。Felix has produced several books of poetry, still photographs and paintings。His photos have appeared in Time, People, Life, BAM, LA Weekly, Billboard, Theatrical Logue, Variety, and Photographer。He won the Golden Shoe Award for Best Country Album and the American Photographers Association Award for Best Black and White in 1989 and '99。
